heat

It has begun. It was officially 101 today. I worked from 9 am until 4.
At which time I was over heated. I have opened the north side of the
roof.
There were 7 sections of 9 that I took down. I left the outer two
because I am hoping to leave some structure in place.
Also the light in the ally is going to be an issue. If am able to
leave the gable end on the ally side it will eliminate a huge portion
of the light coming in.
In taking the garage down the light will flood the back yard.
Possibly having a bad effect on it. I need to come up with some kind
of a shield for it. Something that comes up from the wall to block it
from the pool and the backyard.
But leaving that wall up will be a challenge structurally. In a high
wind that is like a kite or a sail.
Looking from the deck it does not seem so impressive. From inside it
looks very different. There are two neat pile of debris that I will
put in the truck and drive over to the dump. I will have to find its
weird hours.
I was thinking that doing the north side first I would have the
option of just doing this side for a while. Meaning there would be
shade from the south side. One of the issues coming up is the garage
doors. There needs to be a joist running from one side to the other
to secure the garage doors. I could just take them out completely.
Build up the wall on the ally as new wall. Do I want to use it as a
garage for cars again? This choice would effect that. In the long run
the answer is no. I want to have this as a studio/house.
Temporary house. I could use it during the season when it is not
freezing. I would have to go someplace else.
I have found a number of tapes. Video tapes. Dad had asked me
sometime ago to find the edit of the trip down the Yampa with Bill. I
have found some footage from the Gaga edit. Footage of the pool.
